Travis Barker Shares Sweet Response After Joining Kourtney Kardashian On His First Plane Ride Since 2008 Crash

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have been making serious waves since they became Instagram official earlier this year. Since then, they’ve enjoyed each other’s company on public outings and have packed on plenty of PDA in social media posts. Of course, there’s more to their relationship than steamy pics and unexpected haircuts. The two also show support for each other, and this was the case during Barker’s first plane ride since his crash in 2008. And to mark the accomplishment, he shared a sweet response on social media.

This past weekend, Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian flew out to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on a private jet. According to The Daily Mail, the two were accompanied by Kardashian-Jenner momager Kris Jenner and her boyfriend, Corey Gamble. The site also captured snapshots of Kardashian holding hands with Barker as they disembarked from the plane. Barker ultimately celebrated his recent accomplishment with a Twitter post featuring a loving caption and a photo of him and Kardashian embracing. You can find the sentimental message down below:

In 2008, Travis Barker was among several aboard a private jet that crashed mid-take-off in South Carolina. The flight was set to take Barker, Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein and their entourage to Van Nuys, California. Of the six people on board, only Barker and Goldstein survived, though Goldstein would tragically die of an overdose a year later. The accident left Barker with third-degree burns on most of his body, and he would require numerous surgeries and blood transfusions. The situation would ultimately cause the Blink-182 drummer to avoid flying.

Given everything Travis Barker has been through, his recent decision to fly again is a major step. Facing one’s fears is rarely ever easy, so he deserves some serious credit for trying it. It also seems incredibly clear that Kourtney Karadashian was a big help when it came to his choice. Emotional support is a beautiful thing and certainly seems to have been invaluable for Barker.

This recent situation somewhat fuels the assumption that Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are becoming very serious. Even now, rumors claim the two are already married or on the brink of tying the knot. However, things haven’t been completely rosy for the two lovers.

Their relationship received intense backlash from Travis Barker’s ex-wife, Shanna Moakler, who alleged that Barker and Kim Kardashian had an affair that ultimately ended their marriage. Moakler even sarcastically thanked Kourtney and Kim for “destroying” her family twice. Kim has since shot down the allegations, while Moakler’s own children have even accused her of being an absent parent. Ironically, recent reports even suggest that Moakler and Barker’s 16-year-old daughter, Alabama, now refers to Kourtney as “stepmom.”

Alabama Barker wouldn’t be the only person who seems to be high on her father’s romance with Kourtney Kardashian, either. Sources claim the Kardashian-Jenner family are fine with the relationship and are even surprised by the way the oldest Kardashian sibling acts when she’s with Barker. Even family friend Addison Rae also stans the Kardashian/Barker love.

And if all of that weren’t enough, it would seem that Travis Barker will be featured on the Kardashians’ upcoming Hulu project. Sparks are definitely flying between him and Kourtney Kardashian, and it’ll be interesting to see how things continue to develop for the two stars.
