Falcon And Winter Soldier Are Ready To Destroy Captain America In Latest Trailer, And I Am Here For It

Major spoilers for the fourth episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier -- “The Whole World Is Watching” -- lie ahead.

It’s safe to say that the latest episode of Marvel’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier left just about all of us shook. New John Walker is now a Super Soldier, but he’s definitely no Steve Rogers! The recent episode ended with him using the shield to kill Flag-Smasher Nico as revenge for Karli accidentally killing Lamar Hoskins. As the title implies, the world was indeed watching, and Walker will be in for some massive consequences. And based on the show’s latest trailer, this begins with a tense confrontation between him and Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes, who seem ready to take out the new Captain America. And I’m here for it!

Based on the newest The Falcon and the Winter Soldier trailer, it would appear that Sam and Bucky are going to confront Walker shortly after the brutal incident. This includes them apparently asking for the shield so that no one else gets hurt. But Walker, as expected, isn’t going to hand it over easily, and both superheroes (especially Bucky) seem prepared to throw down.

I honestly can’t blame Sam and Bucky for wanting to get that shield out of John Walker’s hands. The man did murder someone in broad daylight after all, giving viewers one of the most disturbing sequences the Marvel Cinematic Universe has ever produced.

Throughout the duration of the series, Sam and Bucky just haven’t been able to see eye to eye with the new Captain America. The fact that he took over the moniker that formerly belonged to Steve Rogers is one thing but, now that Walker is a Super Soldier, that takes on a whole new meaning. So it was really only a matter of time before the group came to blows.

Now, we have to wonder who’s actually going to come out on top in the apparent face-off. Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes are both formidable in their own right, but they still aren’t totally in sync as partners. So there’s certainly a chance that Walker could take on and take down the two superheroes.

What can be said is that the outcome of that fight could very well set the tone for the remainder of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. And let’s be honest, with a murderous Captain America now in the picture, the future of the Avengers and the MCU hangs in the balance.

The final two episodes of the show are going to be intense, to say the least, and you have to wonder how the story will ultimately play out. We’ll see what happens next when The Falcon and the Winter Soldier drops a new episode this Friday at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT on Disney+.
