Star Wars fans have proven to be a pretty creative bunch and, recently, a few fans from Russia exemplified this in an amazing way. Cosplayer Ayaal Fyodorov, with the help of some friends, managed to construct a replica of the Razor Crest ship from The Mandalorian. The impressive recreation was an impressive site and one that many in their community were able to enjoy. Unfortunately, we’ve now learned that the ship has been destroyed, and the actual footage from the ordeal is honestly upsetting for any fan to watch.

Footage of the Razor Crest’s replica’s destruction was recently posted to Reddit, and it shows the ship being blown down and destroyed due to strong winds. At the time, the ship was docked at a local park, where visitors could arrive and take pictures with the massive sight. Anyone who knows the work that went into creating the ship would be disappointed to see the video, and this is especially true for Star Wars or Mandalorian fans. You can see the footage for yourself down below:

The Razor Crest replica was truly a labor of love for Ayaal Fyodorov and his colleagues. The ship was 14 meters (45 feet) long and weighed over 1,000 kilograms (over 2200 pounds). In addition to its pristine exterior, the recreation featured a detailed cockpit that strongly resembled the one from the show. What’s most impressive about the project as a whole is that Fyodorov and his friends actually funded most of the project themselves, though they did receive a bit of help from fans across social media.

Needless to say, this Razor Crest project was a major endeavor that took plenty of effort. You can’t help but feel bad for Ayaal Fyodorov, as the ship was a testament to his fandom and his kindness.

For two seasons of The Mandalorian, the Razor Crest served as the primary mode of transportation for bounty hunter Din Djarin, who outfitted the ship with some impressive weaponry. The Razor Crest’s durability would be tested during the series, especially in Season 2, as Djarin embarked on his quest to reunite Grogu (Baby Yoda) with the Jedi.

Unfortunately, just like the replica, the Razor Crest met its own tragic demise. During The Mandalorian’s second season, the battle-worn ship was destroyed by one of Moff Gideon’s cruisers, resulting in a devastating blow for both Din Djarin and fans of the series. You can stream the show on Disney+, which you can sign up for using this link.

One can’t help but feel a bit of a sting when considering the fact that the impressive Razor Crest replica is no more. However, fans can still appreciate the hard work and effort that went into crafting it in the first place.
