Charlie Sheen Responds To Punky Brewster Star Soleil Moon Frye's Sex Confession In Hulu Doc

As conversations about Britney Spears' past in the spotlight continue to spread in the aftermath of Framing Britney Spears' release, another looking-back documentary on Hulu has been garnering attention for very different reasons. Soleil Moon Frye's home-video doc Kid 90 has been a fascinating look back at how interconnected Hollywood youths were in the early 1990s, as seen through the prism of the Punky Brewster star's video camera. One of the wildest moments in Kid 90 involves Frye reading a diary entry where it's revealed Charlie Sheen was her first consensual sex partner. #Winning, amirite?

Though Charlie Sheen didn't make a current-day appearance in Kid 90 like so many others – such as Beverly Hills 90210 vet Brian Austin Green and Saved by the Bell's Mark-Paul Gosselaar – he did publicly respond once Soleil Moon Frye's admission spread around. Or at least his publicist did for him, telling US Weekly the below:

She’s a good egg. I wish Soleil well in this resurgence of hers.

Charlie Sheen's reaction to everyone knowing he basically took Punky Brewster's virginity can be viewed as wildly understated, or even cleverly cheeky, depending on how one believes Sheen is using the word "egg." In any case, him responding at all is a sign of the amicable relationship the two celebrities have, which isn't always the case where Sheen is concerned.

In Kid 90, Soleil Moon Frye made the big virginity-losing reveal while reading an entry from her journal that dated back to December 18, 1994. She called it the "most strange and wonderful day," and talked about how she'd had a crush on Charlie Sheen for years. (Note that she was 18 at the time they had sex, while Sheen was 29.) While she didn't go into detail about a bunch of other times where they may or may not have gotten down and dirty, Frye did say that Sheen has been very loving to her over the years, and that they maintained their friendship as time went by.

While her sexual experience with Charlie Sheen sounds like a memory that Soleil Moon Frye cherished – while also understanding that her experiences are not representative of everyone's experiences with the oft-maligned actor – she also revealed in Kid 90 that she was sexually assaulted by an older man when she was 17 years old. She addressed that heinous encounter and her subsequent trauma via another journal entry.

It sounds like Charlie Sheen must have received the news through a third party about his sexual escapades going public anew, because he hasn't yet watched Kid 90, saying:

It’s on my list to watch and very near the top.

The Two and a Half Men actor hasn't been very active in Hollywood in recent years, and he's claimed in the past that he was blacklisted in the industry following his infamous sitcom exit and "tiger blood" talk. Meanwhile, Soleil Moon Frye recently brought Punky Brewster back to life for the ten-episode revival season on NBCU's Peacock streaming service.
