Ever since its debut nearly 16 years ago, in March 2005, the ABC medical drama Grey’s Anatomy has become and remained one of the network’s most talked about shows with countless shocking moments, deaths, returns, and everything in between as millions of viewers have followed the life and times of Meredith Grey. But, as we all prepare for the return of the series (especially after the cliffhanger that was the most recent mid-season finale), some may be wondering where they’ll be able to watch new episodes of Grey’s Anatomy Season 17 streaming, or know where to get caught up for those struggling to keep current.

Fortunately for all those Grey’s Anatomy fans out there, the popular medical drama (keyword: drama) is currently streaming on multiple platforms, and chances are, you already have access to at least one of them. That being said, here’s everything you need to know about how to watch Grey’s Anatomy Season 17 streaming.

Where Is Grey’s Anatomy Season 17 Streaming

As mentioned up above, there are multiple ways to go about catching up on Grey’s Anatomy Season 17, and not all of them require you to purchase a subscription or even create an account. Starting off, we have the ABC website, which currently has the first six episodes of the show’s 17th season available to stream for free. It should be noted that you will have to sit through multiple commercial breaks during each episode, but hey, you can’t beat free.

You can also watch Grey’s Anatomy Season 17 streaming on Hulu, but like everything else on the streamer, an account is required to view each of the six available episodes. The standard version of Hulu includes ad breaks during each episode, but those with the more premium setup can blow through the first half of the season with no interruptions.

An alternative option would be to purchase the Grey's Anatomy Season 17 episodes on Amazon. Amazon offers individual episodes for sale, or you can purchase the seasons pass option and get all of the Season 17 episodes that have (or will eventually) aired.

Will Grey’s Anatomy Season 17 Be On Netflix?

The one thing anyone ever wants to know is will their favorite TV show be on Netflix? There is some good news and some bad news when it comes to Grey’s Anatomy. Yes, the long-running medical drama is currently available on the streaming giant, but only the first 16 seasons. If you want to watch Grey’s Anatomy Season 17 streaming on Netflix, you will have to wait until the final episode airs later this spring, and even then it’s hard to say when the latest 16 episodes will be streaming.

Already Caught Up With Grey’s Anatomy Season 17? Here’s When It Returns

If you are, somehow, still not caught up with Grey’s Anatomy Season 17, then what you are about to read won’t sting near as bad as it will for everyone who's current. The show was set to return to ABC from its winter break at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 4, but will now come back for its mid-season premiere at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 11. The one-week delay (which also affects Station 19’s return) was announced in late January 2021, but ABC did not say why the heart of its Thursday night lineup was pushed back seven days.

It looks like we still have a little longer to see how things are going to shake out for Meredith Grey and the rest of the cast of Grey’s Anatomy, but in the meantime, there’s never been a better time to check out CinemaBlend’s updated 2021 TV premiere schedule.

When he's not writing about movies or television, Philip can be found being chased by his three kids, telling his dogs to stop barking at the mailman, or chatting about professional wrestling to his wife. Writing gigs with school newspapers, multiple daily newspapers, and other varied job experiences led him to this point where he actually gets to write about movies, shows, wrestling, and documentaries (which is a huge win in his eyes). If the stars properly align, he will talk about For Love Of The Game being the best baseball movie of all time.
