Marvel Fans Are Too Hyped After WandaVision Is Confirmed For 2020

Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch in WandaVision (2020)

Waiting for Marvel content in 2020 has been somewhat of a challenge for fans, as the global health crisis has forced Marvel Studios and Disney to shift their Phase 4 slate. We did, however, just receive the news that WandaVision, one of Disney+’s first Marvel TV series, is still set to premiere before the end of 2020. And as you can imagine, fans are incredibly excited and have already taken to social media to express those feelings of joy.

Since the initial news dropped, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe can’t help but marvel (sorry) at the fact that 2020 will include a new project from the ever-expanding franchise. In other words, many on Twitter see this as a win for the MCU faithful:

Aside from relishing the moment, some fans are also taking the time to acknowledge Disney and Marvel for managing to maintain the series’ 2020 release window. Particular praise has been aimed at Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige and, based on one tweet, it would seem that the producer has a super power of his own:

Of course, one of the biggest reasons that viewers are most excited to finally lay their eyes on WandaVision is that it will give them more of fan-favorite character Wanda Maximoff. The Avenger has only been growing in strength over her past several appearances, and many are ready for her to truly take on the title of the Scarlet Witch. One fan even compiled some of her best moments:

The news of WandaVision’s release is fine on its own but, as some could have predicted, it does have some people asking one major question – when will we get a full trailer for the show? It’s a question we don’t have the answer to yet, but people on the internet certainly haven’t hesitated to ask for it:

What’s most amazing about the excitement behind WandaVision is that we really don’t know much about the project. What we can gather from the footage we’ve seen so far is that Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff manages to reunite with Paul Bettany’s Vision, who may or may not be resurrected. With this, the two start a new life together that’s apparentely inspired by classic sitcoms. The show’s cast will also include the returning Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis and Randall Park as Jimmy Woo, along with MCU newcomers Teyonah Parris -- playing the adult Monica Rambeau -- and Kathryn Hahn, who is playing the “nosy neighbor.”

Even though we haven’t seen too much from WandaVision, the footage that has been revealed promises an adventure unlike anything else we’ve seen from the MCU. And with its connections to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it should have some lasting effects on the cinematic universe as a whole.

So what are you most excited to see in WandaVision? Is there are character you’re particularly excited to catch up with? Let us know in the comments below!
