Nathalie Emmanuel played fan-favorite Missandei on Game of Thrones from its third season until its last. Emmanuel’s Missandei was one of the beloved characters that fans had to say goodbye to before the show finished its run. Now, Emmanuel is set to return to the TV screen in a show that is entirely different from the HBO hit. The actress is heading to Quibi!

According to Deadline, Nathalie Emmanuel has joined the cast of Kevin Hart’s upcoming Quibi series, Die Hart. To understand who Emmanuel will be playing, here is some vital background info. Die Hart stars Kevin Hart playing a fictionalized version of himself. In the show, Hart wants to pursue his dream of being the lead in an action movie.

A director offers “Kevin Hart” the opportunity to star in his much-desired action film under one condition. Hart has to complete training at a school for action stars. That is where Nathalie Emmanuel’s character and John Travolta’s unhinged one come into play. Travolta will be playing the “lunatic” that runs the action star school.

Nathalie Emmanuel will take on the role of a “rival student” to Kevin Hart, and the competition between the two should be fierce! Emmanuel is described as “tough-minded.” That resolve should see her soar at the action school. Emmanuel’s character is said to be part of pushing Hart to the limit. A name for Emmanuel’s character was not disclosed, so stay tuned.

Production will reportedly begin this month in Atlanta. For those who wish that Nathalie Emmanuel’s Missandei had gotten more scenes in Game of Thrones’ final season, this is exciting! Emmanuel will obviously not be playing Missandei. However, she will be back in the television medium in a role that sounds fantastic (in my opinion) and will (hopefully) be front-and-center.

Interestingly, Nathalie Emmanuel joins one of her former Game of Thrones co-stars in starring in a Quibi series. Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) also has a Quibi series coming up entitled Survive. Turner will star with 6 Underground’s Corey Hawkins in the show, which already has a trailer out. It seems Quibi is becoming a hot spot for Game of Thrones’ stars to get back into TV.

Nathalie Emmanuel has led an active career outside of the HBO mega-hit. Her TV work has included the starring role of Maya in Hulu’s TV adaptation of Four Weddings and a Funeral. Emmanuel was also part of the core vocal cast for Netflix’s The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. She voiced the character, Deet.

Outside of television, Nathalie Emmanuel also has the ongoing role of Megan Ramsey in the Fast and Furious film franchise. Emmanuel will star in 2020’s F9: The Fast Saga as Ramsey. While Fast and Furious is action-focused, Nathalie Emmanuel’s role in Die Hart will be more on the comedic side.

It is the streamer’s short-form aspect that is making Quibi stand out among its competitors. Hence, episodes of Die Hart will be brief. Die Hart does not have a premiere date yet, so stay tuned. Quibi will launch on April 6. While waiting for the arrival of the Quibi series, you can check out the new content arriving on television throughout this winter and spring.

There should also be lots of action considering the setup! Since Fast and the Furious is an action-oriented franchise, it will be fun to see if Die Hart mentions it given Nathalie Emmanuel’s connection to the film series. In related news, it is important to remember that as a Quibi series, Die Hart will have a briefer run-time than Game of Thrones.
