A Stargate actor is campaigning hard to be on The Orville in Season 3. Who is it? Stargate SG-1’s Corin Nemec. Fans of the sci-fi adventure series will remember Nemec for his role as Jonas Quinn. Well, he is ready to make his way to another sci-fi series. Nemec is going all out in his efforts to get cast in The Orville!

The former Stargate SG-1 star made a video where he campaigns for a role in The Orville’s upcoming season. In it, Corin Nemec shares that along with being a big fan of the show, he has already sent in an audition for a Season 3 episode. While he acknowledges that he has not heard back yet, hope is far from lost.

This particular episode does not shoot until December. Filming for Season 3 got underway in October. Fans will have to act fast as December is fast approaching! It is unclear how major of a role it is that he auditioned for, but it sounds like it may span a single episode. You can check out Corin Nemec’s campaign video to get cast in The Orville below:

Time will tell if Corin Nemic’s campaign efforts pay off. Fans have been working to help the Stargate SG-1 star get cast using #CorinonOrville on social media. Nemic is one of the most recent actors to express a willingness to appear on The Orville. Star Trek’s Jonathan Frakes of Star Trek fame is another.

The actor has even shared how he would like to appear on the show. As Corin Nemec mentions in the video he posted, he understands that there are a lot of Stargate SG-1 fans who are also fans of The Orville. That is a good incentive!

The Orville has previously welcomed The Vampire Diaries’ Candice King as an alien, and Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester in Season 2. Could a Stargate SG-1 star be next? Season 3 has already cast a Netflix star. Hopefully Corin Nemec will keep fans appraised on if he lands the role or not. All is not lost, though.

There should be more roles to come as The Orville continues work on Season 3. For fans curious why the cult favorite was not on the fall schedule, there is a reasonable explanation. The series is heading to streaming! Hulu is going to be The Orville’s new home, and the move has gotten off to an excellent start for fans!

Season 3 is going to have longer episodes, which will debut on a weekly basis. Plus, Bortus is confirmed to head to the microphone again! Exciting! Will Stargate SG-1’s Corin Nemec eventually join the excitement? Fans are rallying around him, so that should only help!

The Orville Season 3 is expected to premiere on Hulu in late 2020. While you wait to learn if the Stargate actor is part of it, you can check out this fall’s premieres.
