Robert Forster in El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie Netflix

Mild spoilers ahead for El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie.

Legendary actor Robert Forster died today (Friday, October 11, 2019) at his home in Los Angeles after suffering brain cancer. He was 78.

Robert Forster earned an Oscar nomination as Max Cherry in Quentin Tarantino's 1997 movie Jackie Brown. His lengthy movie and TV filmography started in the late 1960s and really took off with the lead role in Medium Cool in 1969. He was known for dozens of other roles -- including in Mulholland Dr.; Me, Myself & Irene; Twin Peaks; Heroes; The Descendants; Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle; Firewall; Lucky Number Slevin; Olympus Has Fallen; and London Has Fallen.

The timing of Robert Forster's death was particularly shocking for Breaking Bad fans, since he co-stars in El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, which just premiered today on Netflix. Many fans just finished binging the movie only to find out Forster was gone. In the movie, Forster returns to his Breaking Bad role as a vacuum repairman who specializes in "disappearing" and relocating people. I was just saying I wanted the next Breaking Bad spinoff after Better Call Saul to follow Forster's Ed Galbraith. How quickly that dream ended.

Gina Carbone

Gina grew up in Massachusetts and California in her own version of The Parent Trap. She went to three different middle schools, four high schools, and three universities -- including half a year in Perth, Western Australia. She currently lives in a small town in Maine, the kind Stephen King regularly sets terrible things in, so this may be the last you hear from her.
