In Houston this past Saturday, Justin Carter's life was taken short by an accident. As it was reported this week, the up-and-coming country singer was filming his latest music video, when a prop gun used during shooting went off and fired real bullets, fatally wounding and ultimately killing the musician. He was 35 years old.

As it was reported by Fox News, the details about the death are a little fuzzy in the publicized information. But the gun that killed Justin Carter was the same one that was used on set during the production of his latest music video, and it's believed that the loaded weapon was supposed to be a prop in the video, but it took a turn for the worse when it was accidentally fired, resulting in the death of the musician.

The news about Justin Carter's death were revealed to the public in an Instagram statement released by Jamie Scott Ruckman on the late musician's social media page. Here's the report and tribute provided by Ruckman shortly after his passing.

To make the news even more tragic, Justin Carter was considered a musician on the rise by his peers and his fans. The musical artist released his album, Love Affair, with Nu Breed shortly before his passing, and it was clear that Carter was working hard to make videos and promote his brand when this accident occurred. Furthermore, he signed a deal with Triple Threat Management and he was looking to make a name of himself in the competitive world of country music. Here's what Mark Atherton of Triple Threat said to the press about his client's untimely death.

Justin had a potential to, you know, in our eyes, and a lot of people’s eyes to be the next Garth Brooks.

Thoughts and condolences are extended to the friends, family and loved ones of Justin Carter during this unfortunate time. It's never easy to bury a friend or a family member, and the avoidable circumstances of the musician's death matched with the rise in the star's talent certainly makes this news tough to bare. Hopefully, they are learning to grieve accordingly.
