Luke Perry Was Set To Be Married This Summer

Luke Perry - Riverdale

It was only a little more than a week ago when people around the world were met with the sudden news that actor Luke Perry passed away at the age of 52. The star of Riverdale and Beverly Hills 90210 TV was hospitalized a few days earlier with a massive stroke, and his medical condition at the time was considered critical. Since his untimely death, fans, friends and family members of the late actor have spoken kind words about the belated celebrity in their remembrances, but his passing has also presented a few heartbreaking revelations in his wake. For instance, it was revealed that Perry was planning to get remarried this summer.

As it was reported by Yahoo!, Luke Perry and Wendy Madison Bauer, his partner before his death, were preparing for their nuptials when Perry fell ill and later died. The information about the wedding plans was confirmed by a reported "Save the Date" RSVP that was handed out to friends, family and acquittances of the couple. According to the invitation, the scheduled wedding was set to commence on August 17th, and the ceremony would've taken place in Los Angeles. It should be noted that the "Save the Date" wasn't the official invitation. Those were expected to arrive later on, and there was a note about that made on the RSVP.

Given the unexpected nature of both Luke Perry's stroke and his death, it's been hard for fans of the actor to make sense of this shocking passing. So it must be all the more heartbreaking for the people closest to the actor to know that Perry is no longer with them. Of course, one cannot presume to know what they are feeling at this difficult time, and their privacy should be respected as they continue to grieve.

The relationship between Luke Perry and Wendy Madison Bauer was largely kept private from the public. That said, they were seen together at public events, and they were getting ready to celebrate and finalize their love this summer. To know that the television actor unexpectedly passed so shortly before they were set to be married is certainly saddening to hear. Just another mournful revelation made.

Meanwhile, Wendy Madison Bauer recently released a statement about Luke Perry's passing to People. In her tender public goodbye, here's what she said:

I want to express my gratitude to everyone for the outpouring of love and support. The countless, heartwarming stories of Luke’s generosity and kindness have been a great source of solace during this difficult time. The past 11½ years with Luke were the happiest years of my life, and I am grateful to have had that time with him. I also want to thank his children, family, and friends for their love and support. We have found comfort in one another and in the knowledge that our lives were touched by an extraordinary man. He will be dearly missed.

It'll take a long time for people to process Luke Perry's death. This revelation likely makes the news of his death harder. Condolences are expressed to his loved ones.
