The comic book genre has been a powerful force in the movie industry, resulting in a number of shared universes. And while the MCU focuses on serialized storytelling, the DC Extended Universe has been telling more capsulated stories. Fans are still hoping to see the Justice League Vs. Suicide Squad on the big screen, and now it’s come to life with some epic DC fan art.

Following the disappointing performance of Justice League back in 2017, the DC Extended Universe seemingly moved away from crossovers and serialized storytelling. But given how many characters have been introduced, some fans want to see the heroes and villains of the DCEU duke it out in an epic battle. Now we can see what a Justice League vs. Sucide Squad movie might look like thanks to some cool fan art. Check it out below,

I mean, how awesome is that? While there’s no indication that Warner Bros. is attempting their own massive DCEU crossover event, seeing these titans on opposite sides of the battle field are sure to turn a few heads. Let’s break down what we’re being shown here.

The above piece of fan art comes to us from the Instagram of digital art student Malcolm Kenneth. They’re clearly fans of the DC Extended Universe, including James Gunn’s latest release The Suicide Squad. And with Task Force X back on the big screen, the only that would be more thrilling would be seeing the villains take on the likes of Superman, Flash, and Wonder Woman.

The DCEU’s steaming home is on HBO Max, including The Suicide Squad for a limited time. You can use this link to sign up for the streaming service.

As you can see in the image below, the two biggest figures in this fanmade poster for Justice League Vs. Suicide Squad are Superman and Bloodsport. This makes a great deal of sense, as Idris Elba’s character was in Belle Reve for putting the Man of Steel in the ICU via a kryptonite bullet. Another interesting pairing would be Aquaman vs. King Shark, given their penchant for the water and super strength.

The image is also interesting because it included the return of Will Smith’s Deadshot from the original Suicide Squad movie. Indeed, the door is seemingly open for Smith to reprise his character sometime in the future. Joe Manganiello’s Deathstroke is also included, finally giving him the chance to face off with Ben Affleck’s Batman.

As previously mentioned, it doesn’t seem like Warner Bros. is aiming for any massive crossover event akin to Marvel’s Avengers movies. Instead there’s a number of director-driven projects coming down the line, including The Batman, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, and Black Adam.

The Suicide Squad is in theaters now. Be sure to check out the 2021 movie release dates to plan your next movie experience.
