The Movie Megan Fox And Machine Gun Kelly Met On Is Finally Coming Out And The Director Recalls On Set Chemistry

Megan Fox in To Death

For as long as there have been celebrities, there have been celebrity couples. Famous pairs have a habit of capturing the attention of the public, and Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly know this all too well. The couple met while working on the upcoming movie Midnight in the Switchgrass, and director Randall Emmett has recalled the on set chemistry that ultimately resulted in their union.

Midnight in the Switchgrass is an upcoming crime thriller which features Megan Fox headlining alongside Bruce Willis. The movie is also notably where Fox met her now partner Machine Gun Kelly aka Colson Baker, who also has a role. Ahead of the project’s release this weekend, director Randall Emmett opened up about witnessing the start of this romantic relationship, saying:

There was magic in that room, 100 percent. I sat there behind the monitor, and there were takes where I was so mesmerized by their performances that I would forget to say ‘Action!’ Megan sometimes had to be like, ’Randall, are you going to call ‘Action?’ I was like, ‘Oh my god — my bad!’

Talk about chemistry. While it remains to be seen how this translates into the final product of Midnight in the Switchgrass, it seems that Randall Emmett was just as invested in the power couple as the rest of us. Although rather than hearing about it in the news, Emmett witnessed their connection IRL-- sometimes to a distracting degree.

Randall Emmett’s comments to Yahoo! Entertainment helps to peel back the curtain on the showmance that has continued to make headlines. Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are super open about their relationship, but shippers are no doubt thrilled to hear about what it was like from an insider perspective.

Later in the same interview, Randall Emmett further explained how electric the connection between Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly was while on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass. While admitting he didn’t think they’d necessarily become a couple, Emmett went on to say:

As a director, I felt, ‘Wow, there’s some real magic happening there,’ but I didn’t see any more than that. They’re both incredible actors, and their chemistry was flawless. I was just looking at them and thinking, ‘Wow, that was a great scene,’ but didn’t really think about anything else.

Luckily for moviegoing audiences, they’ll be able to see just how these scenes ultimately played out when Midnight in the Switchgrass finally arrives. While the movie is sure to get the attention of the public due to the combination of Bruce Willis and Megan Fox, many out there will no doubt head to theaters to see Fox’s scenes with Machine Gun Kelly. And if Randall Emmett’s comments are to be believed, there’s going to be some movie magic involved.

Midnight in the Switchgrass will hit select theaters beginning July 23rd. In the meantime, check out the 2021 movie release dates to plan your next movie experience.
