Bryce Dallas Howard Has Weighed In On Universal Orlando’s VelociCoaster, But Will She Ever Ride It?

Bryce Dallas Howard in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Summer is the time for new theme park attractions to make their debut and Universal Orlando Resort certainly did not disappoint this year when the long awaited Jurassic World: Velocicoaster made its debut. The roller coaster is, by most reports, including our own, an amazing experience, quite possible the best attraction in either of Universal's Florida theme parks. And Jurassic World co-star Bryce Dallas Howard seems to be excited that the ride exists in the world, but possibly less excited about actually riding it.

Bryce Dallas Howard welcomed the Velocicoaster on Twitter recently, and while she clearly hasn't ridden it yet, based on her comments, that might be by choice rather than lack of opportunity. She calls the attraction "terrifying" and she offers the ride to others who are looking for a thrill. It doesn't sound like she is putting herself in that particular category.

Jurassic World: Velocicoaster sounds like it might be the coolest new ride at Universal Orlando, but it doesn't sound like Bryce Dallas Howard is interested in confirming that. Certainly, a lot of people don't love roller coasters, and it sounds like Howard might be one of them. While her comments make it sound like she is impressed by the ride, she might be more than happy to remain impressed from the ground.

We'll have to wait and see if Bryce Dallas Howard actually makes her way to Orlando to check out the attraction. She is actually in the ride, after all, or at least in the queue setting up the story of the attraction. It would be a shame if she never actually got to experience the ride she's part of. For what's worth, Universal Orlando Resort has promised to save her a seat, and a churro, if she ever wants to go on it.

If Bryce Dallas Howard just isn't much of a roller coaster person, that's ok. A lot of people who love theme parks have particular rides that just don't do it for them. Some people don't love roller coasters. Some of us get a little motion sick spinning around on the tea cups. And it's not like there aren't plenty of other Jurassic Park and Jurassic World experiences for her. If a flume ride is more her speed there's the Jurassic Park River Adventure, that still offers some thrills, but not to the degree of this new roller coaster. Or she can just eat a meal at the Thunder Falls Terrace, which even has Jurassic Park themed beer. I think anybody can enjoy that.

If you do love roller coasters, however, then it seems clear that, as Bryce Dallas Howard says, the Velocicoaster is something you need to experience.
