One Flash TV Star Wants To Cross Over With The Flash Movie

Jesse Quick Wells Violett Beane The flash

With the release of Justice League last year, the public was fully introduced to Ezra Miller's Barry Allen, who had previously cameoed in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad. Now it looks like the character is gearing up to take center stage in the upcoming adaptation of the Flashpoint storyline, and some members of the small screen Flash family want in on the action. Specifically, CinemaBlend recently chatted with The Flash star Violett Beane ahead of the debut of her upcoming horror film, Truth or Dare, and the Jesse Quick actress confirmed that she wants to appear in a big screen Flash adventure. Beane told us:

I mean I think that would be amazing. I think that all of the characters in the TV show loved doing the alternate versions of themselves, like playing the Earth-1 and Earth-2 versions, so I think that would be pretty fun for those characters to do that as well. And I think the fans loved it. Oh yeah, that'd be awesome. That's a great franchise. Flash, in general, is such a cool hero, and I would love to show up over there. You know someone over there?

So while nothing has officially been presented to Violett Beane just yet, it seems that she's interested in bridging the gap between the two Flash worlds. The Flash regularly has its characters bounce back and forth between realities (which allows many of the actors to portray alternate versions of themselves), and Beane apparently wants to see that idea go to the next level by connecting the TV continuity with the movie continuity.

Of course, if any member of the Justice League ensemble is going to bring DC TV characters into the fold, it's going to be The Flash. The character's use of the Speed Force gives him access to the entire multiverse (which is how Grant Gustin's iteration was able to cross over with Supergirl a couple of years ago), and it's technically possible for him to show up and create a connection with the silver screen Barry Allen. Given the fact that Violett Beane's Jesse is also a talented speedster in her own right, she too can establish that connection.

On the other hand, the odds of such a connection happening anytime soon seem reasonably slim. All evidence suggests that The Flash's solo movie will adapt the Flashpoint storyline, and the arc is already incredibly dense without bringing other elements of the DC lore into the equation. Between Thomas Wayne Batman, the war between Atlantis and Themyscira, Barry Allen's battle against Reverse-Flash and every other facet of the story, it's hard to imagine where someone like Jesse Quick could step in without crowding things. However, if the folks at DC decide that they want to integrate the Flash worlds, then we know at least one Flash TV star will be willing to make the jump.

CinemaBlend will bring you more information related to the upcoming Flash solo movie as more details become available to us. As for Violett Beane, you can catch her in Blumhouse's Truth or Dare, which will debut in theaters on April 13.
